Global Regional Jury Biography

Fiona trained at the Royal Ballet School and on graduation joined the Royal Ballet Company, where she was promoted to First Soloist.  She danced numerous soloist and principal roles and worked with many distinguished choreographers including Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Anthony Dowell, David Bintley, Jerome Robbins, Natalia Makarova, William Forsythe, Wayne Eagling, Jonathan Burrows, André Prokovsky, Ashley Page, Michael Clark, Nas Christie.

 

She has toured the world extensively, been invited to guest as Principal Dancer for the Royal Opera. In 1983 she worked with Scapino Ballet in Amsterdam, working with some of the top contemporary choreographers in Europe at that time. Fiona was invited to be the guest Principal Dancer for the Hong Kong Ballet where she danced all the major roles in the company, as a guest artist with Scottish Ballet. She has also appeared in a number of dance related films in the U.K. and Hong Kong.

 

Fiona was the Dance Critic for the Hong Kong Arts Magazine Muse, and regularity contributed and presented What’s on in H.K. for an RTHK Radio 3 Show.  She has been invited to judge dance competitors of all disciplines, including the RAD Solo Seal exams in H.K.  She is regularly invited as a guest teacher at various high-profile schools throughout the U.K. including Ballet Rambert and Hammond.

 

Fiona 在英國皇家芭蕾舞學校受訓，畢業後隨即加入英國皇家芭蕾舞團，其後獲晉升為第一獨舞員。她擔演了舞團眾多獨舞和主要角色，並曾與多位傑出編舞家合作，包括 Kenneth Macmaian爵士、Frederick Ashton爵士、Anthony Dowell爵士、David Bintley、Jerome Robbins、Natasha Makarova、William Forsthye、Wayne Eagling、Jonathan Burrows、Andre Prokovsky、Ashley Page、Michael Clark 和 NasChristie。   

 

Fiona 的舞蹈足跡遍佈世界各地，她曾獲邀為英國皇家歌劇院擔任客席首席舞蹈員，於1983年加入荷蘭阿姆斯特丹 Scapino 芭蕾舞團，有機會與多位歐洲頂尖當代編舞家合作。她亦獲香港芭蕾舞團邀請成為客座首席舞蹈員，她擔演了舞團所有的主要角色。另外，她也曾任蘇格蘭芭蕾舞團的客席藝術家，及於多齣與舞蹈有關的英國和香港電影中演出。  

 

Fiona於香港藝術雜誌 “ Muse” 撰寫舞蹈評論，並曾任香港電台第三台 “what's on in H.K." 節目主持。她曾獲邀在多項舞蹈比賽任評判，其中包括在香港舉行的 RAD Solo Seal。她也經常受邀到英國各處的學校擔任客席導師，包括 Ballet Rambert and Hammond。
